Members of the Polish American Community are encouraged to attend the Cook County Board of Commissioners meeting, tomorrow, Wednesday at 10:00 am, 118 North Clark Street, 5th Floor, County Board Room. Please attend and urge them to vote “No” on taking power away from the people to elect the position of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Proposed Resolution Item number 16-3142, request that the County Board petition the Illinois General Assembly to change the position of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County from elected to appointed. Please plan to arrive by 9:30 am. We must not let them disenfranchise the voters from electing this position which is vital to all communities..
