Komorowski in Tunis for solidarity march

Polish President Bronisław Komorowski was in Tunisia on Sunday to participate in a march in honour of the victims of the recent terrorist attack in the country's capital, Tunis.

President Komorowski joined tens of thousands of Tunisians who marched through the streets of the capital to display their solidarity against Islamist terrorists.

“I'm going to represent the Polish state in Tunisia, in the solidarity march to remember the victims of such an attack, as well as solidarity with all those who battle the phenomenon of terrorism,” Komorowski said before leaving for the north African country.
Early on Sunday, the Tunisian government announced that its military had executed nine members of the group suspected of masterminding the attack on 18 March.

The attack in the Bardo national museum in Tunis resulted in the death of 21 tourists, including three Polish nationals.
The Sunday march included several world leaders, including French President Francois Hollande, who rallied under the slogan "Le Monde est Bardo" (The World is Bardo), according to the Reuters news agency.
While in Tunisia, President Komorowski will be part of a ceremony to unveil a plaque honouring the victims of the massacre.
