A gas leak in a residential block in the Polish capital caused an explosion which has left at least five injured.
The explosion caused major damages on the first floor of the building on ul. Noakowskiego. Fire fighters on the scene said that the situation was localised, and there was no need to evacuate residents from neighbouring buildings. Police are investigating the cause of the explosion. Both ul. Noakowskiego and Koszykowa in downtown Warsaw were closed for traffic on Monday. (rg)
