Lipinski Wins Primary; Thanks Supporters

Congressman Dan Lipinski (IL-3) issued the following statement after his primary victory today:

“I want to thank the people of the Third District for their support in the primary and their vote of confidence in my commonsense leadership.

“Americans face many challenges today, especially those in the middle class. While we are told that the economy is getting better, we know that too many families are still struggling. Added to that is anxiety over security. All the while, too many leaders in Washington refuse to stand up for hard-working Americans and fight against the status quo.

“But people in the Third District have seen me have the courage to stand up for them and against business-as-usual. My manufacturing bill is now law and will help grow American jobs. I helped write a long-term transportation bill that will fix our roads and public transit. And I fought against “fast-tracking” bad trade deals through Congress. This commonsense leadership helps strengthen America’s middle class.

“We still have a lot of work to do, but if we pull together, Americans can accomplish anything. I will continue to lead the fight to get our nation moving in the right direction and build up America’s middle class.”
