Poland's President Bronislaw Komorowski has decided to convene the Cabinet Council, a meeting of government members presided over by the president, on Tuesday to discuss ways of supporting the democratisation of Ukraine.
We need to analyse how to consistently support the modernisation processes in Ukraine to help the country and secure Poland's national interests instead of just taking emergency steps," President Komorowski told Polish television TVP Info on Friday.
The meeting is also to focus on Ukraine's economic woes and ways to promote the development of small and medium-size companies in the country, according to the president.
Only modernised Ukraine "is able to help itself and instead of being a problem for everyone, it could become an economic opportunity, also for Poland," the president said. (PAP)
