Passenger traffic at Polish airports up 2.2 pct y/y in 2013

Passenger traffic at Poland's airports grew 2.2 percent year-on-year in 2013 to nearly 25 million, the Polish Civil Aviation Authority (ULC) reported on Thursday. 




In 2013 the Warsaw Chopin airport, Poland's biggest international airport, handled 10.6 million passengers. It was followed by the airports in Krakow (3.6 million), Gdansk (2.8 million) and Katowice (2.5 million).

The Irish low fare carrier Ryanair carried a record number of passengers (6.5 million passengers). It was followed by the Polish national carrier LOT and Eurolot (5.8 million), Wizz Air (over 4 million) and Lufthansa (1.5 million). (PAP)
