A new study reveals that Poland is second to the US in terms of freedom of speech on a global scale.
Poland scored 5.66 on the Free Expression Index by Pew Research Centre, second only to the US with a score of 5.73.
“People in Western countries, like America, Poland, and Spain, tend to be more supportive of free expression, while those in the eastern parts of the world — like China, India, Japan, and Turkey — are generally less supportive,” Pew wrote in report.
Polish neighbour Ukraine scored just 2.85 on the scale. (rg/di)
