Tuż przed ogłoszeniem tegorocznych nominacji do Oscarów poznaliśmy nominowanych do Złotych Malin. Ta anty-nagroda przyznawana najgorszym filmom wyprodukowanym w roku poprzedzającym ceremonię ich rozdania. Jego pomysłodawcą jest krytyk filmowy John Wilson. Pierwsza ceremonia wręczenia „Golden Razzies” odbyła się 31 marca 1981 roku. Aktualnie nagrody te przyznaje GRAF (Golden Raspberry Award Foundation).
Jak na anty-nagrodę przystało Malina wykonana jest z tworzywa sztucznego przemalowanego na kolor złoty. Ma formę sztucznego owocu maliny umiejscowionego na rolce filmu super 8. Podstawa statuetki jest wykonana z okrągłego metalowego pudełka po mrożonej herbacie. Wartość nagrody wynosi w przybliżeniu 4,89 dolara.
W tym roku walka o maliny będzie zacieta; wśród nominowanych filmów znalazły się prawdziwe kinowe hity z „Transformers” i „G.I. Joe”.
